SPONTANEITY IMPROV COMPANY: CLASS POLICIES

REGISTRATION & SALES POLICY

Please note we reserve the right to consider all sales final. If you are unable to attend a class or workshop you have registered for, please contact us as soon as possible at info@spontaneityimprov.ca. We will do our best to accommodate your situation, but refunds and transfers are subject to the policies outlined below.

ATTENDANCE & MISSED CLASSES

Due to limited class sizes & scheduling constraints, Spontaneity Improv Company is unable to offer refunds or make-up classes for missed sessions. Regular attendance is strongly encouraged. Consistent participation is important for individual growth as well as the development and progress of the entire class.

CANCELLATIONS, CHANGES & REFUNDS

All withdrawal requests must be submitted by email to info@spontaneityimprov.ca at least 48 hours before the scheduled start of the class or workshop.

  • More than 48 hours before the start date: A full refund of the registration fee will be provided.

  • Less than 48 hours before the start date: A 50% refund of the registration fee will be provided.

  • On or after the first day of class: No refunds will be issued.

  • Requests for refunds due to exceptional or extenuating circumstances may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.​

Spontaneity Improv Company reserves the right to cancel a class or workshop if there is insufficient registration. If we cancel a class, registrants will receive a full refund of fees paid for that class. Alternatively, students may choose to transfer their payment toward another class that is still running, provided space is available.

Spontaneity Improv Company also reserves the right to change or substitute instructors when necessary.

PAYMENT OPTIONS & FEES

Payment or payment plan is required at the time of registration. Payment plans are available through our online registration system.

Applicable HST will be added to registration fees.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Spontaneity Improv Company offers scholarships to help make improv education more accessible.

Students seeking financial assistance can complete the Spontaneity Improv Scholarship Application Form. Scholarships may be available for classes, workshops, and teams.

Payment plans are also available through the online registration process.

WEATHER CLOSURES

In the event of severe or extreme weather, Spontaneity Improv Company will determine whether a class or workshop needs to be cancelled by the morning of the scheduled session.

If a cancellation is made, students will be notified by email and/or through the class WhatsApp chat.

ILLNESS

Students and performers who are feeling unwell are asked to stay home and not attend class.

If you are unable to attend due to illness, please notify us through the class WhatsApp chat or by contacting us directly.
